Clear win but a bit too high for the Netherlands
The Dutch dominated the match clearly in the first halftime with good technical and tactical abilities. The Spanish team was hardly not able to cross the middle line. So unavoidably in the 15th minute Robbert Kemperman scored the 2:0 after a fine combination with the backhand from the left side. Almost minute by minute the Dutch gathered good chances to score. Especially the youngest player of this match Seve van Ass impressed with impressive dribblings. Not until the end of the first halftime England gets the first penalty corner and scored by Simon Faulkner surprisingly. But the Dutch team was not misleaded and dominated the match further on. It was only to critize that the Dutch were not able to use the chances especially not to score after penalty corners. England's team was much better in the second halftime and gained good chances to score. But the English did the same as the Dutch in the first halftime: bad scoring. And the Dutch took advantage of this. For example in the 37th minute England failed a very good chance and on the other side Tim van Hout scored for the Dutch. The same situation in the 57th minute: Dutch goalkeeper Daan Wisselink saved with a fantastic reflex a hit from a distance of 6m and the Dutch scored after a free hit (counterattack) by Robert Kempermann with the backhand under the bar of the English goal. It was impressive that the English team never gave up and demonstrated to be equal to the Dutch. Nevertheless Daan Jongejan scored the 5:1 after a fine assist by Wouter Brasem. Altogether the final score was a little bit to high.
