Netherlands U16 wins first match on a very rainy day

In a very exciting and diversified starting match the netherlands under 16 won out over Spains under 16. with 2:1. During rainy weather the numerous spectators saw two different half times. While the Nehterlands dominated the first half, the spanish team eas stronger in the second half. After two minutes played the Netherlands had the first short corner of the game, but missed the spanish goal very close. In the first minutes the Netherlandes controlled the game and were able to reach the Spanish circle dribbling on the right attacing side. In the 9th minute the spanish team had the first chance after a fast counter attack, but the dutch keeper prevented a spanish goal with a great save. In the following period the game took place in thre midfield area, where Marc Garcia Chicote pleased with good dribblings.

After that the dutch team took again control of thre game and had good chances to score the first gola of the game, but goalkeeper Zumalacarregui was on his place and saved the score. After 21 Minutes the spectators saw the first geme of the tournament. After a cross from the left side Hidde Oltmans scored with a nice flick. 1:0 for the Netherlands. After that the dutch team took again control of thre game and had good chances to score the first gola of the game, but goalkeeper Zumalacarregui was on his place and saved the score. Another Chance for Spain and some more for the dutch, but no more goals in the first half. The second half bean with a stron pressure from the spanish attacker. The dutch were in trouble but again the very good dutch keeper saved the score for his team. The foolowing minutes showed a balanced game between the two teams. In the 51th minutes a short corner for the spanish team. The dutch keeper saved, but Garcia-Chicote scored from a short distance the draw. The spanish team tried to intensify the tempo and had some more chances to go in front. But they falied again against th edutch keeper. In the 57th minutes the Nehtherland merited a short corner. With a hard shot Woulter Stijl surprised the in this situation unlucky spanish keeper ans scored the 2:1 lead for the Netherlands. The following spanish offensive was of no avail, also because of two yellow cards against Spain in the last minutes. So the game ended 2:1 for Netherland.
