Team ENGLAND Ups and downs Just like the English national A team, the success of the juniors in the last few years has shown its ups and downs. In 1998 England were still European championship runners up. At the 2001 World Championships they were a creditable fourth, losing in the playoffs to Germany. Four years later they achieved only a disappointing ninth place in Rotterdam. And even last year at the European Championships in Prague managed only place five. Bobby Crutchley took over the team last Summer and since then together they have started a new restructuring to lift them back from the depths. In Monchengladbach, England can prove themselves for the 2008 European Championships. |
